Dr. Kayla Stinn
DVM
Dr. Kayla Stinn received her Bachelor of Science with a Major in Microbiology from the University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2014. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in 2018. Dr. Stinn spent the first five years of her career practicing in the Lower Mainland but was excited for the opportunity to return home to the Okanagan. She made the move to Penticton in the summer of 2023 and joined the team at Anderson Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Stinn is a member of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia, as well as the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. She is also a member of Fear Free Pets and the American Association of Feline Practitioners and has completed her Fear Free Certification and Cat Friendly Veterinarian Certification.
Dr. Stinn lives with her wonderful husband and their brown tabby cat Freya. She enjoys numerous outdoor activities including, but not limited to, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and bike and ski touring.
Dr. Tyson Bull
RETIRED, DVM
Dr. Bull obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia in 1992. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1996. Dr. Bull received the Schering Plough award for proficiency in surgery while at the WCVM. Dr. Bull joined Dr. Norman (Joe) Anderson, the practice’s namesake, at the Anderson Veterinary Clinic in 1996.
Dr. Bull is a Member of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia.
Dr. Bull actively continues his veterinary education attending numerous continuing education seminars, lectures and conventions.
Dr. Bull grew up in Penticton. He is married to his high school sweetheart Shannon and they have two daughters Megan and Lauren. His home life is truly a “Family Affair” with their two pug crosses Buffy and Abby and their three legged border collie Snip.
Dr. Bull feels very fortunate to have been raised in Penticton and to be able to come back and raise his own children in such a wonderful part of the Okanagan. He is currently a member of the Penticton Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee in an effort to give back to a community that has treated him so well. He enjoys woodworking, skiing (both snow and water), outrigger canoe racing and camping/travelling.
Dr. John Cruickshank
DVM
Dr. Cruickshank obtained his Bachelor of Science (Agr.) and Masters of Science at the University of British Columbia in 1983 and 1985, respectively. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1990.
Prior to joining the Anderson Veterinary Clinic in 2004, Dr. Cruickshank practiced for 16 years in North Vancouver.
He is a Member in good standing of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia (CVBC), Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and Society of British Columbia Veterinarians. He served for five years as a council member for the CVBC, including two years as their president.
Dr. Cruickshank actively continues his veterinary education attending numerous continuing education seminars, lectures and conventions.
Married to his best friend Lyndi; they have a son Garrett and daughter Madilynn. They also have a crazy black lab cross Jaxon, and a rescue cat named Shadow who rules their home.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends; boating, skiing, tennis, fishing and golf (sometimes).
Dr. Carlie Petrisor
DVM
Dr. Petrisor obtained her Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) from the University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta in 2007. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2011. Dr. Petrisor joined Dr. Bull and Dr. Cruickshank at the Anderson Veterinary Clinic in August 2011.
Dr. Petrisor is a Member of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia (CVBC).
Dr. Petrisor always looks forward to furthering her veterinary education by attending continuing education seminars, lectures and conventions. She is especially interested in furthering her knowledge in ultrasound and cardiology.
Dr. Petrisor is married to her wonderful husband Travis. They have two young daughters, Elliot and Addilyn, and three feline friends – a wonderful old cat named Molly and two younger wild ones, Oli Glitter and Bluebelle Sparkle.
Dr. Petrisor likes to run, ski, camp and travel in her free time and feels so lucky to live in such a wonderful community!
Dr. Cassandra Van Engelen
DVM
Dr. Cassandra Van Engelen attended the University of Alberta and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Animal Health (Major in Companion and Performance Animals) in 2016. In 2020, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the Anderson Veterinary team in May of 2020.
Dr. Van Engelen is a Member of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia, and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. She is also a member of Fear Free Pets and has completed her Fear free certification.
Cassandra looks forward to expanding her knowledge of veterinary medicine by attending continuing education seminars, conventions, and lectures/labs, to stay up to date in current veterinary medical advances.
Dr. Van Engelen lives with her fantastic partner Bradley and two adorable and amusing cats: Emberly and Venom. Cassandra enjoys hiking, swimming, skating, and painting in her free time.

Amanda
Amanda joined our team as an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) in July 2006. She graduated from Alberta’s Fairview College in 2001 and is a member of the British Columbia Veterinary Technologists Association (BCVTA). During most of the year, weather permitting, Amanda can be found paddle boarding on many of our local lakes. This is a hobby she also shares with her daughter Kayla. They also enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors every chance they get. Time at home is spent snuggling with their inquisitive cat, Roman.
Kat
Kat grew up in the little town of Summerland and graduated from the TRU Animal Health Technology Program in 2021. She has always had a passion for animals and wildlife. Upon graduation, she ventured to Vancouver to work with the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre and has had the opportunity to work with a Big Horn Sheep treatment trial on Syilx Nation Territory. Kat joined the Anderson Veterinary team as an RVT in November of 2021 and loves gaining experience in a small animal clinic. In her spare time she likes to hike with her pup Missy, ski, play soccer, and paint ocean scenes.

Brittany
Brittany joined the Anderson Vet Clinic in January 2017. She was born and raised in the small town of Ladner in Delta, BC. She has worked as a vet assistance since 2008. Brittany lives in Okanagan Falls with her husband Erik, daughter Emily, Chihuahua Leo and cat Phil. In her spare time, she loves gardening, cooking and, of course, enjoying the Okanagan wineries.
Susie
Susie joined the Anderson Vet team in August of 2020. Born and raised in Penticton she and her husband have two amazing sons, Ethan and Benson, as well as a small pack of wacky dogs, Millie, Mr. Chippers, Penelope and Bruno completes their happy family. Susie’s family keep a fond memory of their beloved passed dogs: Lucy & Matteo.
Susie has an overwhelming passion for dog rescuing and fostering. Her family has worked with Mexican street dog rescue organizations for multiple years now and together have fostered, found homes for, and adopted several rescue pups (and even fostered an orphaned duck named Meep)!
Outside of work, Susie loves to cook and create new and inspired recipes in her kitchen. She enjoys camping in the mountains and living a healthy lifestyle.
Lily
Lily has been a part of the Anderson Vet team since October 2020, working through the summers as she went to school to obtain her Diploma of Veterinary Technology, she is a member of the graduating class of 2023 from Thompson Rivers University and is a member of the BCVTA. She has a passion for anesthesia and critical care, large animal medicine, and client education. When not at work you can find her outdoors at the beach or with her horse Sugar! Lily looks forward to providing the best care possible to every animal that comes into the clinic.
Olivia
Olivia grew up in Penticton and always had a huge passion for animals. She has spent her summers working at the Anderson Vet Clinic since 2020. In 2023 she completed the Veterinary Technology Program from Thompson Rivers University and now works as one of the team’s RVTs.
Olivia adopted her best friend Scottie, a rescue dog she met at school; together they love to go outdoors where they go on hikes and visit the beach together. Outside of work Olivia likes to paint, go paddle boarding and ride horses: a hobby she has always loved and had since she was a child.
Olivia is very passionate about fear free veterinary practices and always strives to make her patients feel at ease and enjoy their vet visits.
Katie
Katie joined the Anderson team in October 2016. She grew up in Summerland where she still lives on a small farm with her two crazy West Highland Terriers; Parker and Bentley. When Katie isn’t at the clinic or on her farm with the horses, sheep, donkey, geese and chickens, you can find her enjoying a walk along the KVR. Katie and her Westies enjoy playing around with agility, rally, and obedience training.
Jolyne
Jolyne joined our team in October 2008. Penticton has been her home most of her life. She & her husband have a son, Logan, cat, Karma, and dog, Leroy. She loves baking and has recently started needle crafting. Jolyne keeps us green through her commitment to the environment.
Jen
Jen joined the Anderson team in April of 2020. She was born and raised in Kelowna and now lives in Penticton, with her husband Iain, and their dog Shadina. Jen is a mother to 4 children who have all grown up and make her so proud! Jen has a soft spot for rescue pets; her family keeps their beloved rescue dog Webster in their memory.
Jen has had a long career working in different administrative roles. She loves her job as one of our receptionists because she loves to be on the frontline – whether in person or on the phone – to greet everyone with a smile and see all the adorable pets that come into the clinic. In Jen’s spare time, she loves to spend time with family and friends, go on hikes, enjoy the beaches, and create a multitude of Asian food dishes.
Amy
Amy has lived in Penticton since 2016 and has been working with the Anderson Veterinary team since 2020. Amy loves greeting all the patients who come in and will never decline a puppy/kitten snuggle.
Amy is a mother of her two beloved children: Payton and Beckham. Together they enjoy going on hikes, having beach days, and frequenting all of the local markets. Amy is passionate about healthy living and enjoys going to the gym and creating elaborate skincare regimes for her coworkers. Her active take on the day is often accompanied by her energetic black lab, Chloe.
Jena
Jena graduated from the Veterinary Hospital Assistant program at the Centre for Arts and Technology in December 2022. While studying, she worked part time at the Anderson Vet Clinic, and became a full time member of the team after receiving her diploma. Born and raised in Penticton, she enjoys the local life of walking along Okanagan beach, and always looks forward to the summer farmers market. In the winter, you can find her snowboarding down Apex mountain. When not outside, she loves to curl up with her family cat, Sophie.
Hannah
Hannah Joined our team in May 2023 and is continuing into a gap year with us after graduating from Penticton Secondary 2024. She started as a kennel assistant, growing and learning to become a vet assistant full time in the near future. She hopes to go back to school into a Vet Tech program specializing in large animal and equine work. Hannah has always loved animals, especially horses. If she isn’t caught up in schoolwork, you’ll find her coaching equestrian vaulting, or in the Okanagan trails on horseback with Millie, her beautiful Dalmatian pup that loves to keep her company on her rides.
Manpreet
Manpreet grew up in Punjab, India. She moved to Canada in 2019, and later to the Okanagan; joining the Anderson Vet Team October 2023. Manpreet fluently speaks three languages and lives in Penticton with her partner Harinder and together they both love to go on long drives.
When not at the clinic, Manpreet has a passion for food and loves to cook elaborate homemade Indian meals. She often spoils her coworkers by feeding them and bringing in her home cooked Indian food for all her peers to try. Manpreet is new to the veterinary field but has quickly learned to love it and has become a huge lover of the large dog breeds that come in.
Brooke
Brooke grew up in the small town of La Broquerie, Manitoba. In June of 2022 she moved to the Okanagan and joined the Anderson Vet Clinic. She lives in Penticton with her fiancé Wade and feisty foster-fail gecko: Voldemort.
Before working with the Anderson team, she worked in Winnipeg’s Humane Society vet clinic as well as the Assiniboine zoo, where she realized animal care was her passion. She has a special fondness in fostering exotic pets.
In her spare time, she can be found buying plants, drinking wine, painting, and playing video games. Brookes ultimate dream in life is to have her personal mini zoo in which she owns (but is not limited to) goats, dogs, geese, and many reptiles.
